Another opinionated blog
A few weeks back for some reason some 55 killer whales beached themselves on long beach in my city cape town. Many people endeavored to help and try as they may, it was not an easy task. The experts from the marine ,even members of the public came to lend a hand. Children were also a part of the save the whale crew.
But try as they might the whales were trying to get as far away from the water as possible. Eventually The City of Cape Town disaster management, NSRI, SPCA, SA NAVY and Marine and Coastal management decided the most humane thing was to cull them.

This did not go down very well with animal lovers who now started saying it was a cruel thing to have done. No one appreciated the fact that people had stayed up all night in blistering cold trying to save the False killer whales and for the professionals to decide to cull the animals they had realised that it was a futile exercise. For whatever reason the false killer whales were determined to die. The ones that the people had managed to put back in the water still floated back or were trying to kill themselves on some sharp rocks.
Nature should not be meddled .The events here suggests that there are some phenomenon that we will never understand try as we might. Sometimes we just have to take a back seat and stop trying to play God and let nature take its course.

This is a Blog about anything that has to do with anything.
