If you have come across this strange problem in Internet Explorer where on your homepage only your whole sidebar goes blank and you do not know how to solve it. The problem is probably because of a formatting error which comes through copying and pasting text straight from Microsoft Word, Wordpress blogs do not function well with this text and this can result in catastrophic results. I came across the problem whilst doing some code changes to my template files and after reverting back all my changes there was no change. This is because the problem is in the text in the posts or pages you write in Microsoft Word then paste into Wordpress so the best way to avoid this is to paste the text into a text editor like Notepad after writing it in Microsoft Word, copying that text again and pasting it into the blog. You can also do a similar process for things like tables done in Microsoft Word,  just copy and paste them into an HTML editor like Adobe Dreamweaver to remove formatting and take the table HTML code and paste it into your post and save.
