As mobile connectivity gets more and more advanced and more features being packed into mobile phones there has come a great need for integration of certain mobile applications with applications on the internet for example services like blogging, sharing photos and social media bookmarking.

(Posted From Nokia E71 rest of post updated from PC.)

ShoZu is a dynamic application that integrates all these services into an easily accessible interface. For this post I will concentrate on blogging, ShoZu supports a number of blogs, a few mentioned are:

  • Freewebs
  • Live Journal
  • Meta Weblog
  • Vox
  • Windows Live Spaces
  • Dada.net
  • Blogger
  • Wordpress
  • Moblogs.

The process of blogging takes place seamlessly by creating the post on your mobile handset and subsequently posting it to your blog online.

Get the right equipment

For blogging I suggest you get a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, this post for example was written from a Nokia E71 handset and uploaded to the blog using ShoZu, one other surprising blogging feature that Shozu supports that is amazing is the uploading of video content onto your blog, the best part of this feature is the video is hosted on ShoZu’s own servers meaning that you do not suffer the cost of bandwidth. Problems with the feature

Every new application does have it own flaws and drawbacks and with ShoZu’s blogging from mobile feature i noticed the following things that you cannot do:

  • Adding hyperlinks
  • Adding pictures or galleries to the post
  • Formatting text
  • Adding the posts to categories
  • Using other advanced features of the blog which come with third party plug-ins
